AATR - Redchilli Bikes Collaboration

A short while ago we announced that we would be working with Redchilli Bikes on a project to build us a customer AATR bike. Following a number of successful discussions, we are pleased to announce Redchilli Bikes as our first brand partner.

We first spoke to David at Redchilli Bikes back in 2016. His company were the first to feature in our About the Brand segment. Over the last two years, we have continued to follow Redchilli Bikes as their brand grows. Being a small business, they understand the difficulty of competing in a multi-million pound/euro/dollar industry - against some big brand names. After speaking to David about ambitions, it was clear that he is incredibly passionate about his brand and his clients.
I am absolutely convinced that Redchilli Bikes are on par with the quality of many of the big brands. People just need to look outside the box!

David believes Redchilli can offer the same quality and ride experience as many of the more recognised brands. "One thing I am aiming to achieve with Redchilli is simply to try and educate people that they can get the quality of big brands for a lot less money" he tells us. Adding - "I am absolutely convinced that Redchilli Bikes are on par with the quality of many of the big brands. People just need to look outside the box!" As part of Redchilli Bikes' drive to promote the brand - 2018 sees the company launch custom colour-schemes to their existing frames. This will give customers the opportunity to own a Redchilli frame or bike in their chosen colours*.*Custom colours are subject to availability and at the discretion of Redchilli Bikes.

The Bike

We approached Redchilli Bikes about designing us a special edition AATR frame. As we continue to push AATR forward, we wanted something that could be used to visually enhance our brand. We explored the idea of custom cycling kits (something we will be revisiting in the future) but felt the bike has a much wider scope of use on the website. It will also be used for (non-bike) product reviews.Redchilli Bikes FR2After speaking with David about our requirements, and the type of recreational riding I do, he suggested we base the AATR customer build on the Redchilli FR2. This is their pro-race frame and is one of Redchilli's two flagship frames. The aero FR1 being the other. Our build will feature a Toray T700/T800 High Modulus Carbon Frameset, Shimano Ultegra 8000 groupset and wheels and Pro PLT finishing kit.Redchilli Bikes FR2 frameWe originally wanted the AATR frame to remain a one-of-a-kind special edition, but after discussions with our brand partner - we have decided to make this available to fans of Redchilli Bikes and AATR.The AATR FR2 frameset is available £995.00 on a limited edition pre-order - until the 31st of August. Please contact Redchilli Bikes directly for more information about the AATR frame or any of the other bikes and builds Redchilli Bikes offer. Or if you would like details about Team, Club or Rider sponsorship - click here

I am very excited to be working with David and Redchilli Bikes. We will bring you more news from our new brand partner, along with an updated About the Brand article in the near future. We will also have the completed images and spec of our custom Redchilli FR2 as soon as they are available.
